Corwin Peter Mantooth

Corwin Peter Mantooth, age 15, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at his home in Stillwater, OK. Services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.

A Celebration of Corwin’s life will be 10AM Friday, July 6, 2018 at Countryside Baptist Church in Stillwater with Pastor Justin Beadles officiating. Interment will follow at 3PM at Green Hill Cemetery in Lindsey, OK. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 9:00am to 8:00pm at the funeral home, with family greeting guest from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

Corwin was born September 16, 2002 in Stillwater, OK, to John and Margaret (Broom) Mantooth. He would have been a Sophmore at Perkins-Tryon Schools this fall. Corwin had many interests. He was an avid reader, and was very artistic. Everywhere that he went, he had his sketchbook with him. Corwin had a smile that would light up the room. He always had a hug and a kind word for anyone that needed it. His passion was educating people about Plague Doctors and their role in history.

He leaves behind to cherish him in memories his parents, John and Margaret Mantooth, brother, James Mantooth, and sister, Rebecca Mantooth all of the home; paternal grandparents, Michael and Pat Mantooth of Lindsey, OK; maternal grandmother, Linda Shambles of Ketchum, OK; grandfather, Argle Howeth of Langley, OK; great-grandmother, Betty Little of Tulsa, OK; several aunts, uncles, cousins, a host of friends, and a plethora of pets. He was preceded in death by his two grandfathers, Maurice (Bud) Broom and Lloyd Shambles.
