Alice Mae Gottschalk

Alice Mae Gottschalk, 77, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2017 in Perry, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm with family greeting guests from 6-8 pm. Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Perry with Pastor Kim Hayes officiating. Interment will be held at Grace Hill Cemetery. Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Perry is entrusted with arrangements.
Alice was born March 16, 1940 in Rogers County, Oklahoma to William Robert Wooten and Blanche (Dunn) Wooten. Alice grew up in a happy home with her 15 siblings in the dogwood hills of Eastern Oklahoma. Alice and Leonard Gottschalk were married January 12, 1957 in Perry, Oklahoma.
Alice was a homemaker. She loved spending time with family and friends. She was a great cook and enjoyed tending to her flower gardens.
Alice is preceded in death by her parents, sister Maybelle, and brothers William Robert, Olan, Jim and Shirley.
Alice is survived by her husband Leonard of the home, son Jerry Gottschalk and wife Sherry of Mannford, Ok. and daughter Darla Nida of Perry, Ok.; six grandchildren, Shannon Byrd and husband Lance of Perry, Ok., Deidre Boyd and husband Andy of Broken Arrow, Ok., Lindsay Gilbert and husband Adam of Mannford, Ok., Karen Nida of Perry, Ok., Krystal Nida of Perry, Ok, and Kyle Nida of Perry, Ok.; and nine great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Wanda, Willetta (Pete), Betty, Mary, Carolyn and Loretta, as well as her brothers Kenny and Wayne.
