Amanda Focht

Amanda Gayle Focht, 21, of Stillwater, passed from this life on July 20, 2011 surrounded by those she loved. Her services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home and will be held at 3pm Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a reception following the service at Lincoln Academy in Stillwater. Amanda was born on March 27, 1990 to Michael and Lisa Focht. She was raised and attended schools in the Stillwater area. At age 16, she graduated from Lincoln Academy in Stillwater, completing her studies 2 years early so that she could help her mom Lisa in her fight against cancer. While at Lincoln, Amanda was very active in FCCLA and excelled at writing poetry. Amanda continued her education at Technical School. Amanda was an extremely intelligent and witty girl who loved life. She was a daredevil, a practical joker, and faced all of lifes challenges head on. She loved having a good time, but above all, she loved her 2 yr old son Braxton Zachariah. Amanda was a wonderful mother, a loving daughter, and a loyal friend. She will be missed by all those her life touched, but her legacy of love will continue to live on through Braxton for many years to come. She is survived by her mother: Lisa Focht. Son: Braxton Focht Brothers: Shannon and Ryan Focht. Grandparents: Darlene Edwards and Dale and Vickie Focht. Fianc: Josh Foster. Amanda was preceded in death by her father: Mike Focht, Grandpa Kenneth Edwards, and Great Grand Parents: Albert and Mary Focht and Furman and Ferol Lewis.
