Blanche Fain, age 92, of Stillwater, OK passed away Saturday, September 6th, 2008 in Stillwater.
She was one of 9 children born to Oscar and Laura (Coker) Storment on May 10, 1916. After graduation from HS, she moved to Oklahoma City where she met Otis Fain Sr. They were married and made their home in Oklahoma City. Blanche worked for many years as a hostess at the Huckens Hotel at the Blue and Gold room and later as a manager at the snack bar in Oklahoma City. After retirement, she and her husband moved to rural Pottawattamie County. After the death of her husband Otis Sr, she moved to Stillwater, OK and she was a faithful attendant of Sunnybrook Christian Church.
Blanche is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Otis Jr and Karen Fain of Stillwater, Granddaughter Tammy and husband Glen Martin of Owasso, OK, Grandson Troy Fain and wife Carrie of Springfield, MO, Great grandchildren, Salem, Sundi and Brock Martin and Taylor, Ashley and Mark Fain., Sisters Juanita McQuerry and husband Jim of Arlington, TX and Marie Blackman and husband Paul of Hot springs, AR., and many nieces and nephews.
After reaching 91 years of age and requiring assistance with her daily needs, she moved to Westhaven nursing home where she made friends with residents and staff. The family would like to thank all the staff at Westhaven for the compassion and care that was given. Thanks to the doctors and staff of the 3rd floor at Stillwater Medical Center and Judith Karmen with Hospice for their loving care in her time of need.
She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband Otis Sr. with graveside services, Tuesday September 9th, at 11:00 a.m. at Romulus Cemetery, Romulus, OK. Mister Gail Garst will officiate.
