Bobby Joe Shaddy

June 21, 2013 — December 7, 2013

Bobby Joe Shaddy, 57, of Perkins, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Dec 7, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home and a service celebrating Bobby's life will be held at Greater Vision Church at 1104 Pogue in Perkins, OK at 2:30pm on Monday, December 9, 2013.
Bobby was born on June 21, 1956 to Mike and Dorothy Mae (Higgins) Shaddy in Wichita, KS. As an infant, Bobby's family relocated to Stillwater where Bobby attended schools until moving to Perkins, where Bobby atttended middle and high school. Following his schooling, Bobby began a long career as a custodian at OSU, where he worked from 1974 until medical issues forced him into early retirement in 2001. Bobby made the best of his retirement and enjoyed how retirement allowed him to spend more time with his family.
Bobby was an easy going guy who enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved to watch adventure and mystery movies. To say that he was a huge Elvis fan would be a vast understatement. Bobby owned most of Elvis's albums and knew the words to nearly every Elvis record. The highlight of his life was a trip to Graceland in Memphis, TN where the sight of Elvis's grave brought tears to his eyes. Bobby Shaddy was a gentle soul who had a heart as big as he was. He loved to smile and was always willing to go the extra mile for a friend. Bobby was a loving brother, a dedicated employee, and a loyal friend.
He was loved by all who knew him and his presence will be missed in the lives of so many.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents Mike and Dorothy Shaddy, a sister Sadie Shaddy, and a brother Leroy Gallaway. He is survived by his sister Elaine Bartlett and husband Marvin, of Perkins. Two Brothers: Troy Shaddy of Stillwater and J.D. Shaddy of Perkins.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Bobby's name to Greater Vision Church in Perkins or they request that you take a kid to see a movie.
Condolences may be sent to the family via an online guestbook at www.pmcfh.com
