Brenda Susan Case

February 24, 1947 — February 3, 2016

Brenda Susan Case, 68, of Coyle passed peacefully from this life on February 3, 2016 in Tulsa, OK with her loving family by her side. Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home and a funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 2pm at the Southside Baptist Church in Stillwater, OK with interment to follow at Elm Grove Cemetery near Coyle.

Brenda was born on February 24, 1947 in Springfield, MA to Russell and Dorothy Walker. Due to her parents jobs, she attended more than 10 different schools before returning to Springfield where she graduated from high school. She married Gordon Williams in October 1968 and they had two children, Melody and Brandon Williams, before divorcing in 1984. Brenda had spent most of her life as a homemaker, but following her divorce she relocated to Stillwater, OK and enrolled in cosmetology school.

In 1985, she married the love of her life, Charles Case. The marriage provided her with two additional children, Charles sons Scott Case and Leland Jones. Brenda welcomed them into her life and loved them like her own children. She went to work as a hairdresser at Westhaven Nursing Center in Stillwater for several years before accepting a job as a dishwasher at Stillwater Medical Center. Brenda retired from SMC in the late 1990s due to her failing health.

She had a profound love for animals and raised dogs, cats, guineas, and chickens. If she saw an animal and it was able to pet it, she wanted one. She was a talented craft maker and even attended a vo-tech program to sharpen her crafting and flower arranging skills. Brenda was a kind and generous woman who loved life. She loved the Lord, going to church, and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed the outdoors and could often be found fishing, camping, and working in the garden with her best friend, her husband Charles. Brenda Case was an amazing wife and mom and a trusted friend and she will be greatly missed by all those whose life she touched. The memory of her beautiful smile and quiet strength will live on through the lives of those she leaves behind.
She was preceded in death by her father Russell Walker, as well two grandsons Brandon Williams Jr. and Randall E. Couch.

She is survived by her mother Dorothy Samler of FL; her husband of over 35 years Charles Case of Coyle, OK; Four Children: Scott Case of Coyle, OK, Leland Jones and wife Becky of Blackwell, Melody Heckman and husband Tom of OH, and Brandon Williams and wife Emily of Perry, OK; four siblings: Pat Gore of FL, Bill Walker and wife Barbara of AZ, Gary Walker of FL, and Grace Clawson and husband Mike of Oklahoma City, OK.
