Carolyn Darlene Watkins

Carolyn Darlene Watkins, 80, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022, in Stillwater, Oklahoma surrounded by her family. Memorial service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022, at 10:00am at Dighton Marler Funeral Home Chapel in Stillwater. Dighton Marler Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
Carolyn was born on February 13, 1942, in Wayne, Oklahoma to Floyd and Bessie (Risenhoover) Sutterfield. She grew up in in Wayne, Oklahoma and graduated from Wayne High School in 1959. She then attended Oklahoma College for Women and obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in December of 1962. She married Jim Watkins on February 2, 1963, at Wayne Baptist Church in Wayne, Oklahoma.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Bessie Sutterfield, two brothers Don Sutterfield and Charles Sutterfield.
She is survived by her husband Jim; her children, Lisa Watkins Saxton of Bixby, Ok, and Jon Watkins and wife Kelly of Stillwater, Ok; her grandchildren Nathaniel Saxton, Meagan Saxton-Massad, Nichole Saxton, Michael Saxton, Sterling Watkins, Winston Watkins, and Grace Watkins and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Dexter Sutterfield, Shirley Sutterfield Byers and her husband John.
