Cassie Kim Battles

Cassie Battles, 33, of Glencoe passed from this life on Friday, September 11, 2015 at Stillwater Medical Center surrounded by family. Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home. Services will be held at First Baptist Church in Glencoe at 10:00am on Thursday, September 17, followed by graveside service at Glencoe Cemetery.
Cassie was born on June 8, 1982 in Cushing, OK to Russell and Rodonda (Dodson) West. She was raised in Perkins, OK and graduated from Perkins High School in 2002 and began taking courses in business training at Meridian Technology Center, while working for Stillwater Group Homes. She married the love of her life, Michael Battles Sr. on April 12, 2006 and they worked side by side in their retail store and auction business. In their free time she loved riding motorcycles with him and capturing their scenic adventures.
Cassie enjoyed reading, photography, and scrapbooking, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Cassie touched many lives by her generosity and always wanting to help others in any way she could. She will be missed by all those who knew her.
Cassie was preceded in death by her grandparents Jimmie and Donna Dodson; three grandsons, Cameron, Brody and Braxton.
She is survived by her loving husband Michael Battles Sr. and daughter Ashtin of the home; parents, Russell and Rodonda West of Perkins; mother-in-law, Melba Battles of Stillwater; six children not in the home, Michael Battles Jr. of Stroud, Bobbie Weide and husband Walter of Glencoe, Dawn Frank and husband John of Glencoe, Brock Battles and wife Keelie of Sand Springs, Codi Battles and significant other Zach Hamilton of Stillwater, and Paxtin Ventris and his step-mom and caretaker Alice Murray of Ripley; eight grandchildren, Jordan Battles, Whitney Frank, Bailey Battles, Kayla Frank, Jordan Weide, and Blake Weide all of Glencoe, Brooklyn Stokes of Stillwater, Hannah Battles of Sand Springs; one great grandson, Laken Battles of Glencoe; three brothers, Jerry Murray and Jimmy Murray of Perkins and Danny Battles and wife Barbara of San Antonio, TX; three sisters, Kylee Clark and husband Justin and Desiree Toone and husband Tyler all of Colorado Springs, CO and Donna Payne and husband Mike of Grand Prairie, TX; grandparents, Garry and Marie West of Perkins; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be sent to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, 5106 North Washington, Stillwater, OK 74075 to help offset the funeral expenses.
