Cory Don Nichols

November 21, 1980 — December 20, 2015

Cory Don Nichols was born on November 21, 1980 in Pawnee, OK to Daniel Nichols and Billie Johnson. He spent his teen years living with his parents Danny and Janeen Nichols in Morrison and attended Morrison Public Schools. Following high school, Cory studied Project Management and began working on the pipeline. In 2006, Cory married Brandi Kelly and they raised their five children in Morrison. Cory enjoyed working on the pipeline and he traveled all over the US as the pipeline progressed. He spent the last few years working for C&G Construction, where he served as the Vice President of Customer Relations. Corys main focus was providing a comfortable life for his family and his ability to talk about anything with anybody while always working towards a sale made him a natural at customer relations.
When Cory wasnt working, he could likely been found working his land, or at the ball fields around Morrison supporting his children as they played baseball, basketball, or cheerleading. He was an easy going guy who loved to have fun. He was always the loudest person in the room and he enjoyed giving those he loved a hard time about anything he could find to make them smile. He was outgoing and his charm and sense of humor made him easy to love.
Anyone who knew Cory knew that he had two true loves. His first love has always been his family. They spent time working in the yard, playing outside, and putting together Ninja Turtle action figures. Cory was truly a wonderful father and an incredible uncle. Corys second love was OU football. He was a loyal fan who stuck by his team during the good and bad years. Although, Cory would want you to know that there really werent any years that OU was bad. His love of OU football was always evident through his attire and his quick defense of the team and coaching staff. Each of the Nichols children has also been indoctrinated to be avid Sooner fans. Cory loved football season because it allowed him the opportunity to spend time with his friends and family as they gathered to watch football games.
Cory Nichols was a kindhearted and generous family man who brought so much joy and special memories to so many people. He was a loving husband, a dedicated father, a protective brother, a caring son, and a trusted friend who will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to call him a friend.
Cory was preceded in death by Billie Johnson.
