Dale Preston Redford

Dale Preston Redford, age 73 of Cushing, passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2010 in Cushing. Memorial services to celebrate his life will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010 at New Hope Fellowship, Cushing, Pastor Steve Orton will officiate. Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing. Dale was born on April 5, 1937 in Hartwell, Missouri to the late Archie and Tinsley (Bailey) Redford. He grew up in Clinton, Missouri and attended Hartwell School and later moved to Clinton, MO. with his parents. Dale entered the U.S. Army and served his country as an instructor in Chemical/Biology Warfare. Dale lived in the Ontario, California are for many years. He married Lota Faye Bledsoe on May 18, 1980 . They were full-time RVers for thirteen years, visiting numerous cities and states throughout the United States. They settled in Cushing in April of 1999. Dale never met a stranger, he enjoyed talking and visiting with others. He loved playing music with his guitar and harmonica, and helped start the instrumental band at his church.
Dale is survived by his wife Faye Redford of the home, step-daughter Lori Hallock of Stillwater, brothers Chester Redford and wife Doris of Clinton, Mo., Robert Redford and wife Suzy of Los Angelos, Ca., half-sister Maxine Cates and husband Hayden of Los Angelos, Ca., grandchildren Honey, Tara and Angel Hallock, four great-grand children, sister-in-law Sue Akers Reagan and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons Dale Jr. and Joseph Edward, and half-brother Clark Cary. Condolences and online guest book are available at www.palmermarlerfh.com
