David Wayne Horner

David Wayne Horner passed from this life on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at the age of 62. Arrangements have been entrusted under the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater. A memorial service may be held at a later date.
David was born on March 24, 1952 to the parents of Edward Harvey and Lucille (Hickerson) Horner. He grew up around the Glencoe/Stillwater area and graduated from Glencoe High School in 1970. After high school, David received his realtors license and began working as a real estate agent. On June 5, 1982, David married his soul mate, Joyce McNett at Wee Kirk of the Heather in Las Vegas, Nevada. David loved spending time with her. He especially loved surprising her with freshly picked roses and a cup of coffee. When he wasnt picking flowers, David would work around the house to make Joyces life more carefree. David loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his two Yorkies.
David enjoyed traveling with Joyce, especially on cruises. While on the cruise there destinations included: The Caribbean Islands, Mexico, and Jamaica. Some other hobbies that David took part in were coin collecting and reading classic western novels.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Harvey and Lucille (Hickerson) Horner and one brother, Tony Ivan Horner.
Survivors include his loving wife, Joyce (McNett) Horner of the home; one daughter, Belinda Rowden and fianc, Jeff Rees of Stillwater; one brother, Gerald and wife, Hazel; two grandchildren, Michele DeRaps and husband, Michael of Stillwater, Heather Clark and husband, Travis of Stillwater; three great-grandchildren: Austin, Hunter, and Conner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions can be made in Davids name to the American Cancer Society in the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home 5106 N. Washington. Stillwater, OK 74075.
