Donna Rae King

Donna Rae King, 86, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, in Perry Oklahoma. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2023, from 1:00pm to 6:00pm at Dighton Marler Funeral Home of Perry with family greeting guests from 4-6pm. Graveside Service will be held Monday, May 1, 2023, at 10:00 am at the Pleasant Valley (Sumner) Cemetery with Reverend Josh Bell officiating. Interment will follow.

Donna was born on August 23, 1936, in Perry, Oklahoma to James T. and Elva Mae (Musick) Thompson. She grew up in the Red Rock and Sumner area and obtained her GED. She married Earl Kenneth King on February 3, 1954. Donna enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and her grandkids and great grandkids. She loved cooking for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. The thing she enjoyed most was watching sunsets or taking walks with Earl.

Donna is preceded in death by her husband Earl King, her son Kyle King, her parents and her siblings: Virginia Tucker, Dorsie Beier, Orin Thompson, Lila Bay, Gene Thompson, Melva Edgar, Darlene Lumbers, Glenda Buchanan and Eldon Pat Thompson.

She is survived by her son Mike King and wife Brenda of Perry, daughter Kim Fisher and husband Mark of Norman, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
