Dorothy Geane Morris

Dorothy Geane (Ledbetter) Morris, 76, was born on May 30, 1944 in Stillwater, Oklahoma, the daughter of Charles, Sr and Edna (Lawrence) Ledbetter. She peacefully passed away in her sleep at home on Tuesday, September 22, 2020.
At the Memorial service wear “Jeans For Dorothy". As we lay our sweet mama to rest in jeans and her favorite Eskimo Joe’s tee shirt. The service will be Monday, September 28, 2020 at 10 A.M. in the chapel at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home, 5106 North Washington, Stillwater, Oklahoma. Pastor Curt Anderson will officiate.
Dorothy attended Stillwater schools where she met the love of her life Kenny Morris. They fell in love and married on July 5, 1961 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She enjoyed various careers but found a job she loved at OSU. After 26 she finally retired.
Dorothy is survived by two daughters: Connie Hite and husband John and Sue Stokes and husband Ricky both from Glencoe, Oklahoma. She had nine grandkids: Jennifer, Matt & Daphne, Kyle, Scott, Brandon & Jackie, and Amanda & Joey. Along with 11 great-grandkids: Kalysta, Carson, Kayson, Jazlyn, Paityn, Danna, Kayelea, Brooklyn, Allysa, Lakyn, and Rosalie. And twin sisters, Wilma Richardson-Mayfield, Cushing, and Alma Barbaree, South Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, 2 brothers: Charles, Jr and Richard Ledbetter and 2 sisters: her twin sister Shirley Shank, and Margaret Knox. Also, her grandson Adam McIntyre and beloved dog Lucky.
