Edna L. Hoffman

Edna L. (Williams) Hoffman, born June 10, 1921 in Perry, Oklahoma, to Raymond and Grace (Tuttle) Williams, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 23, at Perry Memorial Hopital. She moved to Scribner, Nebraska, in the early 1940s, where she married Gilbert Hoffman, and raised her three sons, Bill R. Hoffman, Lonnie N. Hoffman and Bob D. Hoffman and one adopted daughter, Rita K. (Hoffman) Dockweiler. Edna was a lifelong homemaker, belonged to the Evangelical Lutheran Church, was a member of the Dodge County Extension Club for many years, was an assistant 4-H leader for eight years and worked for Campbell"s Soup Company for two years. She was an avid bowler in Fremont, West Point, and later in Perry. She moved to West Point in 1963 and spent many of her later years raising her grandchildren, which were a great joy in her life. She moved back to Perry in 1987. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Ralph Williams, Harold Williams and Raymond Williams; son, Bill Hoffman; and son-in-law, Tom Dockweiler. She is survived by sons Lonnie Hoffman and wife Mary, and Bob Hoffman, all of Perry; and daughter, Rita Dockweiler, of Wahoo, Nebraska; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 27, at 2 p.m. at the Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jim Matthews officiating.
