Elmer Bolden

Elmer Felton Bolden Sr., 66, of Stillwater passed from this life on Sept 11, 2016. Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home and a funeral service will be held at Mt Zion Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 1pm. Public visitation will be held on Friday, September 16 from 9am to 8pm at the funeral home.
Elmer was born on May 15, 1950 in Grayson, OK to Future Lee Bolden and Kizia Marie (Thompkin) Bolden. He graduated from high school in Dewar, OK and moved to Stillwater shortly after finishing school. He spent many years working for the City of Stillwater Sanitation Department. In the early 1980s, Elmer married Cynthia Diane Jones and had three children: Latasha, Nakesha, and Elmer Jr. He spent several years working as a tree trimmer for Wrights Tree Trimming. Elmer later accepted a position with Mercury Marine where he spent over 10 yrs working on the tool line before going to work as a bailer operator for H.E.W, retiring in 2009.
Elmer was an easy going guy who was well loved by many people. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on his truck. He was a kind and loving father and grandfather who loved to spend time with his family. He left his friends and family with many great memories and he will be missed by all who knew him.
