Elnora Maxine Burk

Elnora Maxine Burk was born on November 22, 1930 in Morrison, Oklahoma. She passed away at her home and went home to Heaven on Thursday, February 4, 2021. She was 90 years old.

Elnora was born in Morrison, OK to her parents, William McKinley Seba and Ella Adler Seba. She graduated from Morrison High School and attended Oklahoma A&M College for a year before meeting and marrying Bobby Burk. Elnora and Bobby were married on June 12, 1949 and were married for 35 years. Their union produced seven loved children. Elnora was a loving Mother for 71 years and a public school cook for 16 years. She retired in 1992 and greatly enjoyed her retirement.

Elnora was a charter member of the Cimarron Valley Quilt Guild, founded in 1986. She adored quilting, hand quilting 377 quilts for others, as well as, numerous quilts for family members. Elnora had an extensive teapot collection and always enjoyed receiving more. Elnora spent a great deal of time with good friends, Evelyn Smith and Doris Rosiere. Family gatherings were absolutely her favorite moments, as a host and attending functions hosted by others. She loved playing Uno, Dominos and Bingo. She even provided the prizes for Bingo at the family functions. Elnora was a devout Christian with an amazingly strong faith.

Elnora was a dear sweet mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her. She is survived by her seven children, Connie & Bobby Lee of Newcastle, OK; Bonnie Gladden of Cushing, OK; Bill Burk of Stillwater, OK; Judy and Red McClure of Morrison, OK; James and Misty Burk of Stillwater, OK; Paul and Libby Burk of Brewster, NE; Kelly Burk Nyberg of Choctaw, OK; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister Imogene Schlehuber of Caldwell, ID; brother Donald Seba of Ponca City, OK.

In addition to her parents, Elnora is predeceased by a brother, Leonard Seba and a sister-in-law, Juanita Seba.

Visitation for Elnora will be held on Sunday, February 7, 2021 from 2:00 to 6:00pm at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater. Funeral service will be Monday, February 8, 2021 at 10:00am at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home with her son, Paul Burk officiating. Interment will follow at Morris Heights Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Elnora’s life. Services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.
The family wishes to sincerely thank Karman Legacy Hospice. Hospice employees were a blessing and God send in the last months of Elnora’s life.
