Eva Lee was born in Perkins, August 17, 1925 to Walter Grover Westfall and Margaret Hall Westfall. She is preceded in death by her loving husband John Raymond LaFollette and by her parents and stepmother Clara Reynolds Westfall, and her brothers Phillip, Ted, Othel, Morgan, and Russell Westfall and Sisters Betty Jean and Nellie June Westfall and Susie Rusco. She is survived by her sister, Felsa Hastings of Perkins and daughter Kaye Lynn LaFollette of the home, and four sons J.W. and wife Diane of Stillwater, Jim and wife Susan of Edmond and Robert and wife Aliena of Oklahoma City, and Dan and wife Kathy of Houston, Texas. Eva Lee is also survived by her beloved twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Eva Lee was a farmers daughter in every way, born in her parents home south of Perkins. She attended Perkins elementary, middle, and high school. In 1943 she married Raymond LaFollette. After two years residing in El Reno Oklahoma, Eva Lee and Raymond moved back to Perkins, where they raised their family and lived out their years. It is only fitting that Eva Lee rejoined Raymond in heaven on January 17, 2010, the 67th anniversary of their marriage.
Eva Lee was a proud and devoted mother to her five children. Eva Lee was sacrificially dedicated to her husband, her children, her family, and all her many friends in the community. Eva Lees dedication to her special needs daughter Kaye allowed Kaye to overcome an amazing amount of obstacles in life. Everyone who knew them admired the team and their progress. This same dedication along with her amazing talents made everything she touched award winning. She won state wide contests for her amazing sewing, everyone begged for her recipes, and even when her fingers wouldnt bend anymore she painted pictures that astounded us all. Eva Lee gave new meaning to the term will. No one had a stronger will than Eva Lee. She told us that Where there is a will there is a way. Eva Lee gave all she had to give every day to those she loved and held nothing back for herself. We are so honored to have been a recipient of that love. Eva Lee was Grandma to twenty six adoring grandchildren and great grandchildren; whom she taught lifes skills, sacrificial love, and to never give up. Eva Lee and Raymond were in awe of the love extended to them and their family by the many friends acquired in community around Perkins including, church members, neighbors, and extended family.
Eva Lee was a member of the Perkins United Methodist Church. She received her salvation as a child and was a strong spiritual guide to her entire family. Her salvation assured her heavenly home but her giving nature on earth will provide a special set of rewards in Heaven.
The LaFollette family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to several caregivers who so lovingly provided care these past several years.
