Evelyn Spillman

Evelyn Spillman, 89, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 30, 2022 at Edmond Integris Hospital.
Evelyn was born October 3,1932 in Sumner, Oklahoma, the daughter of Rufus Stout and Iva (Howell) Stout. She grew up in the Sumner area, graduating from Sumner High School in 1950. She met Jimmie, the love of her life, on their senior class trip. They were married November 2, 1951 in a home wedding in Sumner.
She is the mother of Michael, Marilyn, Barbara and Bobby. Her four children kept her life very busy. She was among the first women hired to work in the shop at Ditch Witch where she worked in assembly. Evelyn loved to laugh and tell stories. She never knew a stranger. For many years, she and Jimmie loved to travel in their RV.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Everett Stout; and one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Cook and her husband John.
Survivors include her husband of the home; two sons and one daughter: Michael Spillman of Bothell, Washington, Marilyn Kaufmann and her husband Bob of Newalla, Oklahoma, and Bobby Spillman and his wife Karen of Tucson, Arizona; two sisters: Norma Jean Zemp and Wynema Bay, both of Perry; and grandchildren: Angela Hammons and husband Stan of Antlers, Oklahoma; Crystal Chilcoat of Perry, Sarah Grooms and husband Ben of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Matthew Spillman of Tucson, Arizona, Jeremy Kaufmann and his wife Erin of Denver, Colorado, Stephen Burns of Tucson, Arizona and David Burns and his wife Vanessa, Tucson, Arizona; and great grandchildren: Zack Hankins, Shane Hankins, Brailey Gilbreath, Cannon Gilbreath, Orion Grooms, Olivia Grooms, Max Kaufmann and Madelyn Kaufmann.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Perry. Pastor Kim Hayes will officiate.
Memorials may be made in her honor to Gideon’s International or the Perry Wheatheart Nutrition Center Volunteer club.
