Franklin Combs

Franklin Eugene Combs,84, passed away at his home in Stillwater surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, December 17, 2020. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater. Graveside services will be held on Monday, December 21, at 2:00 PM at Tryon Cemetery.
Franklin was born April 12, 1936 in Fairfax, Oklahoma to Leo and Betty (Prall) Combs. He married Wilma Lucille Vassar on February 25, 1955 in Stillwater, Oklahoma where they remained and raised their family. He graduated from Stillwater High School in May of 1955. Franklin attended Eden Chapel United Methodist Church. He ran a service station for 21 years and enjoyed his ranching operation where he raised cattle and customed baled for local farmers.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Betty Combs; brother, Leon; sister Mary; and infant son, Michael Eugene Combs.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma of the home; son, Dave Combs and wife Mandy, and daughter, Teresa Combs; Siblings, Betty Stephenson, and Judy Holden; grandchildren, Cody Combs and wife Tiffany, Melissa Winkler and husband James, and Kaitlyn Combs; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Dakota, Blake, Brilee, Whitlee, and Case Franklin.
Pallbearers will be Dave Combs, Cody Combs, Joe Jr., Randy Holden, Ron Luckey, and David Sorensen. Honorary pallbearers will be Dakota Winkler and Blake Winkler, Ray Dobson and Kenny Ellington.
For those attending the services, the family has requested the wearing of masks and the practicing of social distancing in accordance to CDC Covid-19 guidelines.
