Freda Darlene West

Freda Darlene West, 67, passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at her home in Perkins. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 2:00pm at Dighton Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater. Dighton Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater has been entrusted with arrangements.

Freda was born in Torrance, California on September 13, 1950 to Freddy Larsen and Esther Nanzio Larsen Chasteen. Freda grew up in Westminster and graduated from Westminster High School.

Freda later moved to Perkins, Oklahoma. She was an avid gardener and loved the plants she grew. When Freda was growing up she loved spending time at the beaches in California and after moving to Oklahoma loved to spend time at the lake. She loved going to her children’s sporting events as they were growing up, or any other events involving her children. She was a major decorator and loved decorating for every holiday, and was very creative in doing crafts and other projects.

Freda is preceded in death by her parents, brother Freddy Larsen and sister Viola Moore who passed on February 19, 2018.

She is survived by her children; Matt West of Arlington, Texas and Ashley West of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by her sisters; Ramona Larsen and Leona Larsen.
