Harry Albert Beisel passed away at his home in Perry, OK on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Faye Beisel (Perry, OK), daughter Sandy Renee’ Beisel (Allen, Texas), grandchildren Kristina and Abigail Runowski (Allen, Texas), sister Frances Roseler (Perry, OK), nephews Cecil ‘Woody’ Beisel (Altus, OK), Mark Beisel (Stillwater, OK), and John Roseler (Marshall, OK), and nieces: Beverly Singmaster (Perry, OK), Barbara Spears (Perry, OK), and Brenda Moody (Edmond, OK). He is reunited in death with his parents Albert and DeTressie Jane Beisel, brothers: Cecil Beisel and Jimmy Beisel, and nephews Richard ‘Colby’ Beisel and Larry Beisel.
Harry was born at home in Lucien, OK, but spent most of his life in Perry, OK. He graduated from Perry High School. He enjoyed almost 51 years of marriage to his wife Dorothy. Harry worked in the oil fields and farmed for many years. He was in the Oklahoma Army National Guard. He also drove concrete trucks for a while. For much of his life, he worked as a welder for Ditch Witch. Harry was an inventor and engineer at heart. He had a great passion for steam engines, and could often be found in his shop working on a project. Harry enjoyed spending time with family and was a wonderful storyteller, often recounting the adventures he had with his brothers and friends when he was younger.
A celebration of life will be held for Harry at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home, 203 Fir St, Perry, OK on Monday, December 13, at 11 am. His final resting place will be Mount Carmel Cemetery. The service will be live streamed from the Dighton-Marler page on Facebook.
