Henry Bollinger Iii

Henry Eugene Bollinger III, 44, of Stillwater went to be with his Lord on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at his home with his best friend by his side. Services will be at 1:00pm on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at the chapel at Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater with Brother Bob Dierberger and Danny Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Pond Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 15 from 8am to 8pm. Palmer Marler Funeral Home and Wilson Funeral Home of Pond Creek are both overseeing services.
Henry was born October 17, 1970 to Ollie (Joan) Reed in Sacramento, CA. He moved to Oklahoma during his teenage years and attended both Cushing and Stillwater Public Schools. Henry worked a variety of different jobs and is most noted for working 11 years with Asplundh Tree Experts where he was a supervisor and gave numerous individuals, many of them down on their luck, a job allowing them to better themselves. His outgoing and fun loving personality was a great asset to his job when he often had to interact with homeowners about trees that needed to be tended to by his crews. Henry was always the first one willing to travel many miles and states to assist with storm calls after many natural disasters that left residents without power. One of his greatest memories that made him so proud was when he traveled to Florida to assist with clearing trees after hurricane Katrina. He vividly remembered how the residents clapped and cheered as they arrived and how they gratefully provided meals to him and his crew.
Henrys greatest joy was his children. He first became a father when his son Micheal Anthony Bollinger was born with his first wife Rosalia (Molina) Bollinger. Henry and Lia later separated and he met his best friend and soulmate, Katina Chance. They would welcome two children together, Kelsi Marie and Brandonlee Matthew Bollinger. Henry never missed a ballgame or tae-kwon-do practice or tournament. He was never too busy to talk to his children and make them laugh. And he always was sure to make their birthday parties and holidays a memorable one. Halloween was one of his favorite holidays where he once scared the living daylights out of his kids and their friends by running into the room with a mask and chainsaw during a Halloween party.
Henry will be remembered for his wacky sense of humor, his infectious laugh, his love of camouflage and motorcycles and how he always wore his dark shades. Henry was a big guy with a wild beard and lots of tattoos that surely scared a person or two at first sight but he was truly a big ole teddy bear. He also had a big soft spot for his animals and we can only imagine the kind of zoo that was there to greet him when he crossed over. Henry was baptized in the Church of the Firstborn and was a longtime member of the Perkins Church of the Firstborn.
Henry is survived by his best friend of nearly 25 years, Katina Chance, his son Micheal Bollinger of Bakersville, CA, his daughter Kelsi Bollinger and her fianc Jansen Patterson of Carlton, TX and his son Brandonlee Bollinger and his fianc TaNeal Vester of Stillwater. He is also survived by his parents Fred and Joan Reed of Ripley, brother Julius Bollinger of Stillwater and sisters Connie Bollinger and Lalena Turner of Stillwater, his step brother Richard Reed and step sister Vena Janway both of Keota, OK and his father in law Ken Chance of Stillwater. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Pallbearers will be Bob Smith, Bruce Wright, John Bunch, John Bunch Jr., John Payne and Tracy Johnson.
His family would like to thank the staff of Stillwater Medical Center, Judith Karmen Hospice and Edwin Fair for the compassion and care they showed Henry.
