Ida Fay Gottfried

Graveside services for Ida Fay Shelton Gottfried, age 83, of Stillwater, OK are scheduled 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2008 in the Shelton Cemetery in Perry, Oklahoma with Pastor Cody Freeman officiating. Services are under the direction of Palmer-Marler-Carberry Funeral Home. Ms. Gottfried was born on November 29, 1924 in Hayward, Oklahoma to George and Laura (Griggs) Shelton. She grew up and attended school in the Perry area. Ms Gottfried married Walter W. Gottfried in 1944. They were married several years and had 10 children before divorcing. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church on 26th in Stillwater. Ms Gottfrieds hobbies included sewing, yard sales, story telling, and going to auctions. The world has lost a great person. Her children believe that she was the Best mom there ever was. The highlights of her life were her grandchildren and family. Ms. Gottfried passed from this life to be with her Lord and Savior on February 28, 2008 in Stillwater.
She is survived by:
6 Sons: Cleo Gottfried and wife Bobbie, Rockey Gottfried and wife Sherry, Randy Gottfried, Stoney Gottfried and wife Cheryl, Cecil Gottfried and wife Randa, and Lloyd Gottfried and wife Kim. 4 Daughters: Barbara J. Bloom, Shirley M. Schwandt, Mildred L. Stephens, and Connie F. Gottfried
1 Brothers: Merle Duke Shelton and wife Pearl.
2 Sisters: Ada Ruth Gottfried and husband Charlie Lola Shelton.
Ms. Gottfried had 36 grandchildren 42 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: 7 brothers; Jasper, Clyde, Charlie, John, Ray, Richard, Bobby Joe Shelton. 6 sisters; Mary, Mabel, Louise, Helen, Rosie, Pearl 2 grandsons and 2 great grand daughters and her parents George L.
