James Aday

James William Aday (Jim), 83 of Stillwater, Oklahoma.

James passed away at home on Thursday, May 28, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.

James was born at home in Marysville California on January 6, 1937. He graduated from Marysville Union High School.

James was married to Juanita Aday on August 26, 1960. They were happily married for 49 years. Juanita was James’ one true love. They were proud of all their children and grandchildren.

James, from a young age loved to help his dad work on the tractors. In School he took choir classes. He loved to sing and dance. He loved to fish and camp while spending time with his family. He loved traveling to many different places.

James was a Jack of all trades, Master of many. Diesel Mechanic, Construction Superintendent, Sheetrocker, Wrecker services just to mention a few. He played the guitar and piano, played in a band, and was a great singer. He had his Pilots License. He joined the U.S. Navy right out of High School and worked as a Machinist in the Boiler room beneath the ship. As an adult, James became actively involved as a Minister of Jehovahs Witnesses and enjoyed talking about the Bible, helping many to learn Bible truths. James was known quite well for his shortcuts that would always get you lost.

James is survived by seven children, Jackie Menesez of California; Mike and Michelle Aday, of Cambria, California; Debbie and Larry Sommer of Flagstaff, Arizona; Gordy and Deedee Haley of Waco, Texas; Mona and Rick Walker of Clinton, Oklahoma; Kellie and Tom Saunders of Stillwater, Oklahoma; Connie and John Roesler of Marshall, Oklahoma. Twenty Four Grandchildren, Forty Seven Great Grandchildren,Three Sisters; Barb Winje of Coloma California; Lou Anderson of Wilder Idaho; and Betty Noerr of Nevada City, California; and several nieces and nephews.

James is preceded in death by spouse, Juanita Aday; Parents, Ira and Geraldine Aday; Brother, Ira Aday Jr; Sister, Beverly Ferguson; and Granddaughter, Cassandra Kaye Simpson.

We will be having a Zoom Memorial Service on Saturday, June 20, 2020, @ 6:00pm Central Time. Contact a family member for login information.
