Funeral services for Jeffrey David Palmer, 40, of Oklahoma City are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at Mehan Union Church. Family with greet friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2010 at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Stillwater.
Jeff was born on February 20, 1969 in Pontiac, MI to Gerald Kenneth and Dolores Mae (Goldino) Palmer. He grew up in the Detroit metropolitan area until the age of 16 when he joined the U.S. Army. His early adult life was spent in San Jose, CA and surrounding area until 1999, when he moved to the Stillwater/OKC area.
Jeff was tough and strongly opinionated, which he proved with his Big Brother Lectures to the rest of the family. He was a hard worker and extremely dedicated to his family. He had a big heart and made every effort to keep his family together, often checking on his mother or sending his brother to check on her. Jeff loved to go fishing (especially with his daughters, who were #1 in his life), bow hunting, and camping. He enjoyed cooking out and playing video and computer games. Jeff passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2010 in Midwest City, OK.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Kristy of Oklahoma City, OK; two daughters, Jordan Karina Palmer and Jenna Noelle Palmer of McAlester, OK; two step-children, Haley DeAnn Paxton and Corbin Max Paxton of Oklahoma City, OK; his mother, Dolores Mae Palmer of Orlando, OK; one brother, John David Palmer of Stillwater, OK; one sister, Jennifer Rene Rymarz of Dearborn, MI; two nieces, Brittany Michele Rymarz and Jordan Alexandra Moskos; one nephew, Kory Robert Palmer; and many extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jeffs name to help cover funeral expenses to Palmer Marler Funeral Home 5106 N. Washington Stillwater, OK 74075.
