Jerry Lee Shell, 81, of Perkins, OK entered his eternal rest on May 21, 2022, at his home with his loving wife and daughter by his side. Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater has been entrusted with final arrangements.

Jerry was born on May 1, 1941, to Ed and Fern (Rathbun) Shell in Glencoe, OK. He and his four siblings grew up in in the Glencoe area. He graduated in the class of 1959. He married Darlene Carol Heddlesten on April 4, 1963. To this union they were blessed with two daughters.

Jerry spent most of his life doing construction work as a heavy equipment operator. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with family, especially watching his grandchildren grow up.
All his life he enjoyed outdoor sports, including his love of horses, mules, and other farm animals. He also spent many Saturday nights scooting a boot with this wife.

Jerry is survived by his wife Darlene of the home. Daughters Kimberly Cundiff and her husband Todd of Ripley, OK and Jennifer Stack and her husband John of Shawnee, KS, along with grandchildren Jane (Cundiff) Newell and her husband Grant of Irving, TX; Matthew Cundiff of Owasso, OK; John P. Stack of Lincoln, NE; and Molly Stack of Shawnee, KS. Jerry is survived by his siblings, Billie Carrier of Stillwater and Charles Shell of Glencoe.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Phyillis Condrey of Henryetta and Barbara Nichols of Stillwater.
No public services are planned; however, friends and family will be gathering at the family home in Perkins on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, from 3-6 PM for a time of fellowship and remembrance.
