The funeral services for Jimmy Lewis McHenry, 82, Osborne, KS are set for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home Chapel with interment immediately following at Fairview Cemetery south of Perry. Jimmy passed from this life on Tuesday, April, 9, 2013, at Parkview Care Center, Osborne KS. Jim was born Aug. 9, 1930, in Wewoka, Okla., to C.W. and Margie Rea (Boster) McHenry. He was the oldest of a family of four children, two boys and two girls. He graduated high school at Pawnee Rock, KS in 1947. He attended Fort Hays State College, Hays, KS. He married in 1950, to Dixie L. (Campbell) and to this union are 3 children. He worked in sales at Mid-Continent Supply Co. as well as oil treating companies, later as Dist. Mgr for Baker-Hughes Chemical Co. Jim enjoyed fishing and after retirement traveling to various areas. Family and Church were very important to him. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Hays, KS Those preceding him in death were his parents, an infant brother, Carl Wesley McHenry and sister, Betty Roads. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, of the home; a son, Jim C. McHenry and wife Karen, Gardner, KS; two daughters, Barri Herbel and husband Ray of Lakeside, Ariz.; Brenda Schumacher and husband Dave of Plainville, KS; eight granddaughters; and seven great-grandchildren and a sister, Barbara Bercik and husband Bill of Anderson, Ind. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.
