Joyemae Ellen Bingamon, 82, of Stillwater, OK passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2008 in Stillwater, OK. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 22, 2008 at the Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Mark Parkhurst officiating. Private burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bingamon was born on July 20, 1926 in Oklahoma City, OK to John and Clara (Howard) Burroughs. She grew up and attended schools in Nicoma Park, later earning her G.E.D. She attended church regularly, being raised Pentecostal. She was very passionate about music. She taught music, wrote music, and played music. Her instruments of choice were the bass guitar and the fiddle. She found the love of her life playing music, and on September 20, 1965 she was united in marriage to Jack Bingamon in Las Vegas, NV. Jack preceded her in death in September of 2003.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack; two brothers, Johnny and Earl; and one sister, Mary.
She is survived by one son, Darren Shawn Bingamon and his wife, Debbie of Hughson, CA; three daughters, Linda Kaonohi of Oklahoma City, OK, Sherry Nishymuta of Arlington, TX, and Paulette Parkhurst and her husband, Mark of Nashville, TN; 12 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren plus one on the way; eight great great grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth Pyatt of Coalgate, OK; and one sister, Shirley Barrier of Coalgate, OK.
