Karen Lynn Grampp

Karen Lynn Grampp was born April 11, 1943 in Houston, Texas to John Curtis
Hitson and Florence (Buys) Hitson. She grew up in the Magnolia, Texas area
where she attended school. She later made her home in Stillwater, where she
worked as a Service Order Writer for Southwestern Bell Telephone for several
years.

She enjoyed flower gardening, watching birds, arts and crafts, especially stained
glass and spending time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by
so many.

Anyone who knows her was not surprised that she went out in style, on her
birthday. What better birthday gift than being able to celebrate in Heaven with
friends, family and Jesus. Karen passed away on her birthday, April 11, 2021 in
Edmond, Oklahoma at the age of 78.

Those left to celebrate her life include her three children, Sandy Evans of Katy,
Texas, Rhonda Curtis and husband Beau of Crescent, Oklahoma, and Erica
Lightfoot and husband Ronnie of Edmond, Oklahoma; one brother, Bubba Cascio
and wife Judy of Fort Worth, Texas; nine grandchildren, Bonita Willis and husband
Kirk, Megan Evans, Rebecca Hill and husband Nathan, John Curtis and wife
Whitney, Danielle Womochel and husband Steven, Haylee Frazier, Rylee Frazier,
Brennan Lightfoot, and Kennady Lightfoot; eleven great-grandchildren; several
nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by
her parents; husband, Rick Grampp in 2006; two sisters, Pat Jay, and Lucy
Thompson.

A Celebration of Karen’s life will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 2PM at
Dighton-Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at
Fairlawn Cemetery. Post-funeral reception will be held at Freddie Paul’s
Steakhouse.
