Kathleen V. Lonergan

Kathleen “Kathy” Lonergan a longtime Stillwater resident passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Stillwater Creek Nursing Center in Stillwater at the age of 71. Services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.
Kathy was born December 21, 1949 in Onawa, Iowa. She was the daughter of Duncan C. Deaver and Mary (Williams) Deaver. She grew up in Boone, Iowa. There she met and married her husband, David Lonergan on November 17, 1972. She and David moved to Stillwater in 1999 where she remained until her passing.
She worked Teacher’s Aid and was a housewife. She enjoyed reading books, cross stitching, crocheting, and working puzzles.
Survivors include her husband, David of the home; daughter, Brenda Kreul and husband Timothy of Stillwater, Oklahoma; three sisters, Mary Ann Bowman of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Edra Fouts and husband Steve of Norwalk, Iowa, and Nancy Moore of Aurora, Colorado; one granddaughter, Emily Kreul of Stillwater, Oklahoma; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one infant child, Susie; two brothers, Fred Deaver, and David Deaver.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date.
