Kathline Johnson

August 30, 1929 — October 27, 2021

Kathline Johnson, 92, of Stillwater, who passed from this life on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at home surrounded by her family.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 5th at Dighton Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater. The Reverend James Bond will officiate.

Kathline was born August 30, 1929, in Seminole, Oklahoma, to Marvin and Alma Ball. She attended schools in Seminole County, graduating Valedictorian at Varnum High School in 1947, where she met the love of her life, Clyde Johnson. Kathline worked at University National Bank as head of bookkeeping for several years. The Johnson family opened and operated “The Rib Ranch” family restaurant from 1973 to 1987.

She was driven by her love for her family and intellectual curiosity. Her hobbies included golf (she was President of the Women’s Golf Association for several years), bowling (she was deadly with her backup ball), boating, camping, gardening (she had the greenest thumb of anyone known), playing bridge and reading. She was the happiest taking care of her family, working in her garden, and destroying all who dared play any sort of game with her. She was a great friend to many whose lives were enriched for having known her.

She was small in stature but large in heart! She was the beloved wife of Clyde Johnson for 63 years, proud and adoring mother to son David L. and wife Wanda, son Michael W. and wife Leslie, and daughter Nancy M. and husband Steve; cherished sister to Betty Krupp and Brenda Casteel; doting grandmother to nine grandchildren Michael David and wife Christy, Chad Johnson, Justin Johnson, K.C. Wood and husband Matt, Jeremy Burnett and wife Tori, Candice Blaze Johnson, Jessica Busby and husband Jarrod, Bradley Gary, and Steven Tyler Gary; and fond great grandmother to 12 great-grandchildren and
2 great-great-grandchildren.

She joins in heaven her parents Marvin and Alma Ball, husband Clyde, and sister Gladys Post.

Condolences may be sent to the family via an online guest book at www.dightonmarler.com.
