Larry L. Kilmer

Larry L. Kilmer, a longtime Perry resident passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Integris Hospital in Enid, Oklahoma. He was 78. Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Perry.

A Celebration of Larry’s life will be Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 3PM at the First Christian Church in Perry. Pastor Josh Bell will officiate.

Larry was born February 17, 1940 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to Ray and Doris (Laughery) Kilmer. He graduated high school in 1962 from Victor Valley Senior High School, Victorville, California.

Larry, June and family moved from Braman to Perry in 1976 when Larry joined the Perry Police Department. Larry attended the State of Oklahoma Council on Law Enforcement and Training in 1977 to be a certified Law Enforcement Officer.

In 1980 he went to work at Charles Machine Works, followed by working Security at Creative Labs in Stillwater, Oklahoma.

In 2017 he retired from the Noble County Sheriff’s Department after 20 years of Honorable Service and left many friends in the Law Enforcement Community.

Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, June Kilmer; son, Tim Kilmer and wife Dawn, grand-sons, Braydyn and Joshua all of Perry,OK; daughter, Tina Kilmer, grand-daughter, Elaina both of Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Sister-in-law, Martha Kilmer of Winfield, KS; nephew, David; nieces; Kim and Terry Hess and their children, Nathan, Christopher and Emily; Joyce and Travis Hill and their children, Kasha and Latino; Anji and Del Roy Spoon and their children, Amanda, Thomas, Trey, Kylie Jo and Cheyenne. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joyce Ann; brother, Joe Kilmer; and nephew, Loren Joe Kilmer.
