Larry Lundholm

Larry A. Lundholm, 68, of Stillwater, OK passed away on September 9, 2011 at his home surrounded by family. Services are under the direction of Palmer Marler Funeral Home and will be held at 2:00 on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at LifeChurch.tv (1917 N. Country Club Rd.) in Stillwater with Pastor Jeff Moore presiding. Burial will be in Wisconsin at a later date. Larry was born on June 30, 1943 in Barron, Wisconsin to Lawrence and Fern Lundholm. Larry attended grade school in Ripon, WI and Burlington, WI and graduated from high school in East Troy, WI. Shortly after, Larry left for the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO, where he graduated with the class of 1966. He then spent a year at Hanscom Field in Boston, MA and following served a year in Thailand during the Vietnam War laying the groundwork for a new air base. When he returned to the States, he went to Altus Air Force Base in Columbia, MO where he earned a Masters degree in Civil Engineering. From there Larry went to Lowery Air Force Base in Denver, CO. Shortly afterword he left the Air Force to return to civilian life. After a stint in Texas, he moved to Stillwater, Oklahoma where he worked for Oklahoma State University as Assistant Director of the Physical Plant from 1988 until his retirement in January of 2011. Larry also found time to enjoy life as an avid golfer. The only time he wasnt on the greens was OSU game day (including football, womens and mens basketball, and soccer). He also enjoyed skiing both downhill and crosscountry and collecting sports memorabilia. Larry was also a member and former President of the Lions Club, the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), and the Airplane Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). Larry is survived by his children, Kimberly Ann (Lundholm) Lynch, Michelle Leigh Lundholm, Larry Alden Lundholm, Jr., and Lori Ann (Lundholm) Murray; parents Lawrence and Fern Lundholm; sisters Gloria Lundholm, Cheryl Lundholm, and Sharon (Lundholm) OSullivan, grandchildren Dakota Bertrand, Shannon Bertrand, Kayleigh Johnson, Ashlyn Lundholm, Shauna Lynch, Isabella Murray, Breken Lundholm, Brent Lynch, Nathan Lynch, and Bailee Lynch; great grandchildren Desmin Bertrand and Kamarah Bertrand, and Debbie Pierson, mother of his children and friend, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
