Leroy Julius Beier

Leroy Julius Beier, 78, of Perry, Oklahoma, was the son of Julius and Alice (Johannes) Beier. He was born August 25, 1935, and passed away at his home on January 26, 2014. He was raised on a farm east of Perry. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Perry. Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Perry and will be Thursday, January 30, 2014, at 2:00 pm at the Zion Lutheran Church of Perry. Burial will follow at Grace Hill Cemetery. Leroy graduated from Sumner High School in May 1953. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He served in the United States Air Force for 5", serving 3" years in Japan. Upon returning home he was employed by Honeywell, Inc. in Oklahoma City, where he became a supervisor after receiving a degree in engineering. He also spent six months in Germany for his company. He returned to Perry after his retirement in 2000. Leroy is survived by his brothers, Marvin and his wife, Shirley of Perry, Ralph and his wife, Vicky of Perry; nephews, Mike Beier and his wife, Lori, Tim Beier; nieces, Kim (Beier) Williams and her husband, Craig, Melinda (Beier) Williams, Lori (Beier) Pierce, all of Perry, and Amy (Beier) Nieuwenhuis and her husband, Jason, of Edmond, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Alice Beier and his brother, Clifford Beier. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his name to Zion Lutheran Buildng Fund in care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Perry.
