Linda Lynn Marquez

Linda Lynn Marquez passed away unexpectedly at her home in Oklahoma City on Sunday, August 15, 2021 at the age of 44. Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.

Linda was born November 5, 1976 in Pomona, California to Manuel and Katrina Kay (Martin) Marquez. When Linda was about a year old her family moved to Oklahoma. She grew up in the Cushing, Ripley, Stillwater area. She worked about 15 years as a office manager for a loan company before landing a job with O.U. in the DHS department where she remained until her passing.

Some of Linda’s hobbies included shopping and watching a good movie, but her greatest excitement was spending time with her grandbabies and making memories. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her three children, Sabra Marquez, Cionysus Marquez, and Anijha Johnson all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; father, Manuel Marquez of Cushing, Oklahoma; two sisters, Jina Farar and husband Clifford of Cushing, Oklahoma, and Mercy Oakes and husband Mike of Stillwater, Oklahoma; brother, Robert Meadows of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Royce Marquez and Sariaya Marquez both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death her mother; one son, Desmond Johnson; and grandparents, James and Wanda Martin.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 22, 2021 from 1PM to 6PM at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater. A Celebration of Linda’s life will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 2PM at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery.
