Lisa Ann Becker

Lisa Ann Becker, age 55, of Marland, OK, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 28, 2018. She was a devoted wife and mother, and will be remembered her warm kindness and loving heart.

Lisa was born February 26, 1963 in Gary, IN, to Don and Gloria (Hamlin) Higgins. She grew up in Merrillville, IN, where she graduated high school in 1981. Soon after graduation, on August 28, 1981, she married Darrell Becker in Crown Point, IN. The subsequent years provided many adventures throughout the mid-west. In 2003, they settled in Marland, OK and began their family farm.

She loved fishing and cooking at the river with family and friends. Lisa liked out fishing the guys and had the pictures (and freezer) to prove it. She was a skilled gardener and enjoyed canning her harvest. A country girl at heart, Lisa was often found helping her husband in the soy bean and wheat fields.

Lisa is survived by her husband, Darrell; daughter, Stacey Bell and husband Jordan of Houston, TX; son, James Becker and wife Valerie of Blanchard, OK; granddaughter, Emily Jarvis of Blanchard, OK; her parents, Don and Gloria Higgins of Folsom, WV; sister, Carol Rudd and husband John of Chesterton, IN; two brothers, Danny Higgins and wife Lisa of Stanley, NC, and Joe Higgins and wife Beth of Clarksburg, WV; several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

A celebration of Lisa’s life is scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Perry led by Pastor Kim Hayes. Interment will follow at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry.

Visitation will be 9 AM to 8 PM Monday, April 2, 2018 at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Perry. Family will greet guests from 6 PM to 8 PM.
