On Wednesday, March 8, 2023 in Stillwater, Oklahoma, Lucretia E. (Whitmire) Sang, beloved mother and grandma, joined her heavenly father on a glorious day.
Born in Proctor, Oklahoma on May 6, 1939, this beautiful 83 year old was the daughter of Ellis and Imogene (Pond) Whitmire. She grew up and attended school in Blackwell, Oklahoma graduating from Blackwell High School in 1957. After graduation she went on to attend Tonkawa Community College. She met her first love Earl Criswell of Mt. View Arkansas, their family grew with the birth of their four children Cristi, Dana, Jamie and Erin. After eight years it sadly dissolved in divorce and Lucretia went on to marry Daryl Lee Sang of Blackwell, OK on Oct. 23, 1970 where they enjoyed a long loving 48 years of marriage until his death in 2018.
Lucretia loved to do many things; some of her favorites were to read her bible, and law mystery books, sewing yoyo quilts and getting the chance to cook for any occasion. Most importantly the chance to cook for her family she loved dearly. She was known by many to be a hard worker where she worked for OSU for several years before retiring from Moore's Business forms.
Lucretia's loving memory will be kept alive by her surviving children, Dana McCubbin and husband Scott of Edmond, OK, Jamie Criswell and wife Jackie of Stillwater, OK, Erin Tipton and husband Gregg of Coyle, OK; one sister, Kathy; three brothers, Taylor Whitmire of Tonkawa, OK, Randy Wickham of Blackwell, OK, Kenneth Wickham of Missouri; grandchildren, Christopher, Brett, Courtney and husband Cody, Scott, Tiffany and Husband Ryan, William, Steven, Jerred and wife Michelle, Reese and wife Brianna; 23 Great Grandchildren and one Great- Great Grandchild.
She goes to be with her parents; loving husband Daryl Sang; one daughter, Cristi Criswell; one brother, Evert Whitmire and one stepbrother Danny Wickham.
