Margaret Louise Dimond

Margaret Louise Dimond of Cushing, OK went to live with the Lord on Feb 3, 2015. Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home and a service celebrating her life will be held at 1pm at The General Assembly and Church of the First Born on Fairgrounds Rd in Stillwater on Friday, Feb 6, 2015. Public visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb 5 from 9am to 8pm.
Margaret, daughter of Willie Dee Cooksey and Ruby Christeen Dean, was born December 4, 1942 in Hill, New Mexico. She was married to Dewayne Friend Dimond, September 28, 1959 in Corkrin, California. There were no children to this union, but over her lifetime Margaret raised many of the kids in her family. She lived many years in Stillwater before moving to Cushing. Margaret was baptized into the Faith at an early age and attended Church at several of the First Born Churchs in the area, but she considered the Church of the First Born in Stillwater to be her home Church.
Margaret was an ornery and out spoken woman who never shied away from telling you how she felt. She was independent, generous, and although she was tough on those closest to her, it was just her way of showing how much she cared. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, playing card and board games, fishing, and gardening. She loved cooking, canning, and spending time with her animals, but nothing brought a bigger smile to her face than being around her family. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Dewayne; father and mother; brothers, Willie Jr. (Dan), Raymond, and Alvin C.; sisters, Edna Jewel, and Mary Cooksey Asher.
Surviving are brothers, Howard of Stillwater, OK, Edward of Perry, OK; sister, Barbara Beaver Gates of Shawnee, OK; and a grand host of nieces and nephews
