Pauline, the oldest of eight children, was born October 7, 1928 in Stigler to Tony and Minnie (Shaver) Stubblefield. She lived in the Stigler area until 1944 when her family moved to Okemah for a few years. In 1948 she moved back to Stigler, and that is when she met a young man by the name of Harry Green outside the local Theater and Love was struck! They soon married on November 24, 1948 at the Church of Christ in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She and Harry were longtime members of the Stigler and Keota Church of Christ. After Harry’s death in 2007, Pauline moved to Perry, Oklahoma to be closer to her children. While there, she attended the Perry Church of Christ where she remained until her passing.
Her greatest accomplishment was providing a home full of love for her husband and children. She also enjoyed working on the 240-acre family farm just north of Stigler with her husband raising cattle, chickens, goats, and a variety of other animals. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, and when time would allow, she enjoyed traveling. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her four children; Harry B. Green and wife Vina of Rockwell, Texas, John W. Green of Morrison, Oklahoma, Linda P. Crites of Goltry, Oklahoma, and Paul A. Green and wife Tammy of Perry, Oklahoma; sister, Jo Ann Hall and husband James of Stigler, Oklahoma; two brothers, Sam Stubblefield and wife Pat of Stigler, Oklahoma, and Jim Stubblefield and wife Barbara of Muldrow, Oklahoma; 13 grandchildren, Kim Lane, Browyn Vaughn, Seth Green, Lori Eikleberry, Luke Green, Will Green, Stefanie Douglas, Crystal Smith, Carrie Perry, Nate Green, Jimmy Monholland, Casey Monholland, and Billie Monholland; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry; son, David Green; 3 sisters, Jewell Collins, Patsy Stubblefield, Pat Ball; brother, Bill Stubblefield; son-in-law, Denny Crites; 2 nephews, Tony and Derrick Stubblefield; and parents.
