Marjorie Bass

Marjorie Louise (Russell) Bass, 85, passed from this life on August 30, 2010 at her home in Stillwater. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor G.T. Moody presiding. Services have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.
Ms. Bass was born to R. Reed and Goldie (Andrews) Russell in Dover, OK. She grew up in Kingfisher, OK, later graduating from Woodward High School in Woodward, OK. She went on to Northwestern University in Chicago, IL, graduating as a dental hygienist. She was employed as a dental hygienist from 1947 until her retirement in 1980. Ms. Bass was proud to be one of the first dental hygienist in Oklahoma and was a long time member of Stillwaters DU chapter of the PEO. She also was a volunteer at the OK State Library in the 1980s. Marjories hobbies included feeding the birds and spending time with her dog,
She is survived by her son: R. Russell Bass and wife Kimball, of Stillwater, OK. One sister: Madeline Russell Roy, of Auburn, CA. Two grandchildren: Ward Russell Bass and wife Nikki, of Littleton, CO and Kelli Ann Bass of Stillwater, OK.
