MARVIN CLAYTON UNRUH Marvin Clayton Unruh, age 90, of Tonkawa, OK was born on October 25, 1919 to John and Dora (Nightengale) Unruh in Greenburg, KS and passed from this life to be with his Lord and Savior on August 21, 2010 in Tonkawa, OK. Marvin grew up in the Isabella area later moving to Tonkawa, OK. Marvin married Doris Nadine Reames on October 24, 1948 in Isabella, OK. Marvin was enlisted in the United States Army and served as a cook. After serving his country he delivered milk from farmers to Enid, OK daily and later worked for the Rock Island Railroad for over 30 years. Marvin was a member of the Christian Life Church. His hobbies included; fishing, lighthouses, trains, collecting cups from different states, dominoes, cards, camping, gospel music, country music, wood working and cooking. The highlights of Marvin"s life were his family, friends, cooking his Thanksgiving Turkey, fried chicken and eating his bagel chips from Old School Bagel. Marvin will truly be missed by his family and friends. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 23, 2010 at the Christian Life Church with Pastor Derrick Marshall officiating. Interment will be in the Tonkawa I.O.O.F Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, August 22, 2010 from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Christian Life Church. Memorials may be sent to the Christian Life Church or North Central Oklahoma Hospice c/o Perry Funeral Home 203 E. Fir, Perry, OK 73077. Marvin is survived by: wife Doris of the home; 3 daughters; Gloria and Dwayne Johnson of Bella Vista, AK, Patricia and Doug Brown of Ponca City, OK, Sheila and Bill Ford of Ponca City, OK. 3 sons; Larry and Jacque Unruh of Benson, MN, John and Joyce Unruh of Tonkawa, OK. David Unruh and Debbie Parker of Stillwater, OK. 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by; his parents. 4 brothers; Jake, Alfred, Fred and Milfred. Condolences may be sent using our online guestbook at www.perrycares.com .
