Mary Anna Thompson

Mary Anna Thompson, 93, passed away on Monday, April 18, 2022, at her home in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She was born on July 21, 1928, in Stillwater, Oklahoma to John and Margaret (Sumner) Casey. She was a lifelong Stillwater resident. She married the love of her life, Olis Vern Thompson on December 18, 1954, in Newkirk, Oklahoma. Together they celebrated 62 years of marriage. To this union was born two daughters, Cathy and Ruthy. Mary Anna enjoyed reading and working with her cattle and most of all spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Olis Thompson in January 2017. Also, her parents John and Maggie Casey and her siblings: Luvina, Catherine, Flossie, Ruth, Dollie, and Thomas.
She is survived by her children Cathy (Fred) Beekmann and Ruthy (Pete) deBoer; her grandchildren: Martha (Dustin) Malone, Betsy (Eric) Pontious, Zory deBoer, Kory deBoer, Lori deBoer, and Tori deBoer, as well as nine great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, John Mark (Donna) Casey of Winterville, GA.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2022, from 9am to 5pm with family receiving friends from 2-5 pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 29, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Dighton Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery. Dighton Marler Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
