Mary Elizabeth Roberts

Mary Elizabeth Roberts, 65, of Stillwater, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord on June 20, 2014.

Arrangements have been entrusted under the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Public visitation will be on Tuesday, July 1 from 8 am to 8 pm at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater, OK.

Mary Elizabeth Roberts was born on November 17, 1948 to the union of Henry Sr. and Elouise Hamilton Long, Mary was the sixth of seven children. Mary was educated in Jeanerette, Louisiana Public Schools and graduated from Francis M. Boley High School.

Mary was united in holy matrimony October 25, 1969 to James F. Roberts, Jr. To this union three children were born: Tonya, James III, and Antonio. Mary shared her life with her family in Chicago for many years. Through lifes challenges Mary is known to be a survivor and outspoken in what she believed.

Her husband, James Roberts; both parents; two sisters, Lillian Edwards and Joyce Ann Jones preceded her in death.

Mary leaves to cherish her memory; one daughter, Tanya Roberts; two sons, James Roberts III, and Antonio Roberts; three sisters, Barbara Clavelle, Freddie Mae Long, Glenda Moore (John); one brother, Henry Long, Jr. (Aline); two brother-in-laws, Nelson Edwards and Wilbert Jones; three grandchildren, Maia, Darnell, and Tarvaris; two aunts, Carrie Douglas (Eugene), and Patricia Hamilton; three uncles, Ben Long, Lionel Hamilton, and Alfred Hamilton; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
