Mary Gene Vitek

Mary Gene Vitek, age 58, of Stillwater passed away Friday, March 29, 2019 in El Reno, Oklahoma. Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.
Visitation will be 9AM to 8PM Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 11AM Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater. Brother Joe Day will officiate.
Mary was born November 12, 1960 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Gene and Mary Ann (Kalsu) Viteck. She grew up on the family farm NW of Stillwater and lived there until going into the nursing home when her health began to fail her about six years ago. She enjoyed following her dad and mom around the farm doing chores. She loved all kinds of animals. She was always ready to go with her dad to feed the cows. Music was a great enjoyment to her. She always enjoyed going with her family to “Czech” dances and listening to some good Czech Poka Bands, a staple of her Czechoslovakian heritage. Playing with her baby dolls and watching her favorite T.V. shows were a favorite pastime of hers.
Survivors include her father, Gene; brother, David Vitek of Stillwater, OK.; several cousins; her nursing home family; and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her mother in 2014.
