Retha Lou Hodges

Retha Lou Hodges, 68, of Glencoe passed away Monday, November 21, 2022 in Oklahoma City after a brief illness. Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.

Retha was born June 8, 1954 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Dennis and Eva (Bode) Hodges. She spent all of her life in Glencoe. She graduated Glencoe High School in 1972. After high school Retha attended OSU where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She worked at OSU as an accountant for several years leaving that position to work at the Payne County Administration building for several years. She then worked in the health care field until her retirement.

Some hobbies Retha enjoyed were reading, crocheting, taking care of her kitties, and working puzzle books. She was a longtime member of the Glencoe Church of Christ where she was very active with the Wee worship kids and various other church activities. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her sister, Neta Hodges of Glencoe; aunt, Nola Ellington of Glencoe; several cousins; church family; and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents; Jesse S. and Mabel M. (DeWitt) Hodges, Evie E. and Florence (Marshal) Bode; three uncles, Wayne Hodges, Robert Hodges, and Claude Ellington.
