Robert Hollinshead

Robert Francis Hollinshead passed from this life Tuesday evening, November 11, 2014 at his home in Ocala, Florida after a long bout with dementia. Services have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Perkins. A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 22 at 2:00pm at the Perkins Cemetery, Perkins, Oklahoma.
Robert F. "Holly" Hollinshead was born July 19, 1931 in Braintree, Massachusetts to Thomas Frederick and Mary Emeline (Bertrand) Hollinshead. Bob graduated from Braintree High School in 1951. He retired from the Braintree Water Department in 1993. Bob spent a few years in New Hampshire before splitting time between Perkins, Oklahoma and Ocala, Florida. He spent several years as a volunteer at Stillwater Medical Center in Stillwater, Oklahoma and at Ocala Regional Medical Center, Ocala, Florida. Bob is a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus in Braintree, Massachusetts.
Bob is predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his partner of 52 years, Don Cross, siblings Thomas F. (Alice) Hollinshead, Jr., and Betty L. (Ellsworth) Lewis of Walters, OK, Richard W. (Joyce) Hollinshead of Duncan, OK and Elise A. (Bert) Coffman of Perkins, OK; many nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
