Ronald Arthur Liston

Ronald Arthur Liston, age 78, of Cushing, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021, in Cushing, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.

Ronnie was born in Detroit Michigan, February 21, 1943, to Art and Lois (Bratty) Liston. He grew up in Moore, Oklahoma where he graduated high school. He then attended OSU and married Brenda McAffrey. His favorite past time was fishing with friends and family on the Cimarron River where he lived the majority of his life. As an entrepreneur he had a hog farm on the family land for several years, then operated a custom meat processing plant, Country Cut Meats.

Children: Michele and Bill Martin of Fort Worth, TX, Scott and Lori Liston of Stillwater, OK, Chuck and Shelli Liston of Roswell, GA, Mark and DeDe Carter of Moore, OK, Cliff and Dena Karraker of Edmond, OK, Barry and Wendy Anderson of Guthrie, OK and Tina Beadnell of Kensington, Ohio

He is survived by his wife Brenda Liston of the home, mother, Lois Johnson; siblings: Larry Liston of Moore, OK, Carol and Forrest Shed of Wayne, OK, and Diane Browning of Mustang, OK; 18 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Art Liston; sister-in-law, Sharon Liston; and, son-in-law, Toby Beadnell.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021 at Southside Baptist Church, 1223 S. Perkins Rd, Stillwater at 3:00 PM. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Southside Baptist Church Building Fund or the Cowboys Who Care Foundation, www.cowboyswhocare.org
