Walter L Stroud

Memorial services for Walter Lee Stroud 72, of Perry, OK will be Monday, 2:00 p.m. February 27, 2012 at 2:00 pm. at the Perry Country Club, Perry, OK. Walter Stroud passed away Friday February 24, 2012 after a brief illness. Mr. Stroud was born January 12, 1940 in Fletcher, OK to Grace and Claibourne Stroud. He graduated from Fletcher High School in 1958. He married Mary Ann Hayes September 4, 1959. The couple moved to Edmond in 1960 where Walt worked as a typesetter for Kolb's Typesetting Service . In 1981 Walt and Mary bought Perry Printing and Office Supply, retiring in 2002. He is survived by his wife Mary of the home, daughter Leigh Ann Loyd and husband Andy of Denver, CO, son Kyler Stroud of Dallas, TX , grandchildren Meagan Loyd and Brayden Stroud . Mr. Stroud's ashes will be placed in Fletcher Cemetery at a later date.
