William Bernard Hurst Jr.

William “Bill” Bernard Hurst Jr., 67, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, in Stillwater. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 2:00pm at Summit View Cemetery in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Dighton Marler Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
Bill was born on May 14, 1954, in Guthrie, Oklahoma to William Bernard Sr. and Dorothy “Dottie” Hurst. He grew up in Guthrie, Oklahoma and graduated from Guthrie High School in 1973. He married Valerie Kay Sullins on September 7th, 1988, in Perry, Oklahoma.
Bill was a proud veteran of the United States Army who loved his dogs, his people, and his country. He was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Oklahoma Sooners. Bill was happiest watching his teams play while surrounded by family and friends.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Melissa Wayne Vaught and sister Kathie Kimbro.
He is survived by his wife Valerie, his children; Elisha Hurst, William Dallas Hurst, Starla Rose Whitson, Kristin Hurst, Justin Cook, and Holley McClung-Snow. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Nova Story, Tobi Tiernan, Logan Snow, Lexie McClung-Snow, Eli Hawk-Payne and Hannah Hawk-Payne.
