Alice Geneva Watkins

August 8, 1936 — May 17, 2026

Yale, Oklahoma

Alice Geneva Watkins passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, in Yale, Oklahoma. Born on August 8, 1936, in Welty, Oklahoma, to James Heavy Baker and Margaret (Floyd) Baker, Alice lived a life marked by her faith, love, dedication, and deep ties to her family and community.

Alice's journey began in the small town of Welty, where she was born into a large family, a testament to the close-knit beginnings that shaped her character. On October 1, 1954, she married Roy Cecil Watkins at the River of Life Church in Cushing, Oklahoma, embarking on a partnership that would last for decades and be a cornerstone of her life.

Throughout her years, Alice was a devoted wife and mother. She is survived by her beloved husband, Roy Cecil Watkins, who shared with her a lifetime of memories, support, and unwavering love. Together, they raised three children: Connie Watkins; Cecil Watkins and his wife Rajean; and Bonnie Hensley and her husband Willie. Alice’s family circle extended joyfully to her grandchildren, Delaney Watkins and TJ Robertson, whose lives she cherished deeply. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren—Sephten Watkins, Rhysten Watkins, Kloey Rosco, Kylie Cussner, and Colton Rosco—who brought light and joy to her later years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and all 13 of her siblings.

Alice’s presence in the lives of those around her was a source of comfort and strength. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the enduring bonds she nurtured within her family.

A graveside service to honor and remember Alice’s life will be held on May 22, 2026, from 11:00 at Sunset Memorial Gardens, located at 6500 South Perkins Road, Stillwater, Oklahoma 74074. Family, friends, and all who knew Alice are invited to gather at this time to celebrate a life well lived.
